It was established in the year 2014 for bringing about industrial and technological development to the region. It was established with just one branch of Civil Engineering.
Bhimtal, named after the mythological Bhima of the Mahabharat, is close to Nainital in Uttarakhand. The town has come up around one of a group of many natural lakes in Nainital, the Lake District in the state. The small green town at an altitude of 1370 meters in the Kumaon Hills in the lesser Himalayas, is at a lower elevation than Nainital, but is a pleasant all the year round destination.
Affiliated to the Uttarakhand Board of Technical Education and recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), GP BHIMTAL ensures its programs meet national standards of quality.
The institute is committed to nurturing talent by equipping students with essential skills and knowledge. A team of dedicated and experienced faculty members focuses on the holistic development of students—academically, professionally, and personally.
It is a fairly new institute. It was established in the year 2014 for bringing about industrial and technological development to the region. It was established with just one branch of Civil Engineering. We have some senior and highly experienced faculty and also a few young teachers which just creates a fine blend of youth and experience. The students come from all over the state with varying cultural backgrounds. The picturesque scenic beauty of the lake district provides a peaceful setting that is congenial to academic and technological pursuit. With a number of different educational institutes of repute, Bhimtal has been emerging as a powerful hub of learning and resources. Government Polytechnic Bhimtal not only adds to but also completes such a picture. As the head of organisation, I welcome you to this marvellous centre of learning and youthful endeavour.
